Youth Ministry

Middle school and high school are major times of transition for students. We want to partner with youth and their parents during these years to provide a place for students to feel safe, grow in their relationship with God, have fun, and make memories that will last a lifetime.

Youth Events

Throughout the year, our middle schoolers (Chi Rho) and high schoolers (CYF) gather for a wide array of events ranging from service projects to team building activities around the city of Raleigh. We spend quality time together in prayer, worship, study, and conversation. Contact our Associate Minister
of Spiritual Growth here if you are interested in more information about Youth happenings throughout the year.

mission trips

God calls us to love and serve our neighbors, and we believe there is nothing more important than putting our faith into action through a variety of mission opportunities throughout the year. A few Hillyer favorites include Appalachia Service Project (ASP) and Raleigh Youth Mission (RYM).

Camps and retreats

Camps, conferences, and retreats are provided through the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in North Carolina at Camp Caroline. Retreats are held twice a year for both CYF and Chi-Rho, and during the summer, there is an opportunity for each group to attend camp. In addition, CYF has a leadership opportunity for youth and adults with the Regional Cabinet for Youth Work (RCYW).
